A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our busy and growing Basildon based client. You will need to have experience of working in a 3PL environment as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example.

• Warehouse Management experience gained within a 3PL environment & experience of warehousing best practice methods & planning.
• Clear communication and listening skills, with the ability to influence others.
• Ability to lead by example, encouraging and coaching others to communicate effectively.
• Ability to present arguments in a grammatically correct and easily understood way.
• To be committed to and actively works to continuously improve themselves.
• Strong relationship building skills with team members and customers.
• Confidence to make innovative changes to achieve business success.
• Knowledge and experience of AEO.
• Experience of Ocean & Road Freight would be a distinct advantage.
£40,000 - £45,000pa
Basildon, Essex
Our client is offering a salary of £40,000 - £45,000pa and a wealth of good company benefits.
The working hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6.00am and 6.00pm, core hours are 8.00am – 5.00pm but flexibility is a must.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
• Management of all warehouse administrative duties and day to day operations
• Ensure employees are trained, coached, measured and managed and administer staff performance reviews.
• Negotiate and monitor supplier contracts as necessary.
• Prepare timely, accurate information and reporting.
• Identify, develop, train, mentor or recruit talent.
• Ensure a clean, properly organised, safe, healthy and professional business facility.
• Ensure that any damages or losses are fully investigated.
• Ensure that overtime and overheads are strictly controlled and not exceeded.
• Managing the warehouse workflow and communicating to the Branch Manager/Team.
• Take the lead in implementation and continuous improvement / Six Sigma / 5S, being a champion on site.
• Identify, agree and execute improvements throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain and develop relationships with customers.
• Ensuring space and inventory location efficiency.
• Managing stock accuracy via WMS and continuous audits.
• Warehouse KPI Monitoring.
