Part-time Legal Secretary (Property Litigation)

Our Hornchurch based client are looking for an experienced and pro-active Legal Secretary with a strong background in property litigation to join their growing team. This part-time, permanent role is to work 2 days per week on Thursday’s and Friday’s.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong team player who is highly organised and able to “hit the ground running” in this fast-paced environment. • Strong Legal Secretarial (Property Litigation) experience is essential.
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Packages and ideally Partners for Windows.
• Good working knowledge of third-party applications where appropriate e.g. Land Registry, BigHand, Oyez etc.
• To be self-motivated with a “can do” flexible approach.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• To be a proactive individual who takes ownership of issues and offers solutions.
• Have excellent communication, organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Be a strong and capable team player who is also able to work on your own initiative.
£27,000 - £30,000pa (Pro-rata)
Hornchurch, Essex
A salary of £27,000 - £30,000pa (Pro-rata) and a wide range of great company benefits which includes private health insurance, on site car parking and much more.
The working hours for this role are 9.00am – 5.00pm on Thursday’s and Friday’s (Flexibility will be required to cover staff holidays)
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
• Carrying out all necessary conflict, money laundering and ID checks.
• Undertaking a range of admin duties including data entry, completion of forms, managing diaries and travel, expenses/billing, research, drafting of documentation, booking of events, prepping bundles /meeting preparation and more.
• Liaising with other areas of the business.
• Audio typing (BigHand) and copy typing as required.
• Liaising with clients and third parties as instructed by Lawyers.
• Attending to clients, delivering documentation as and when required.
• Assisting in personal injury and employment law teams and providing reception cover when needed.
• Dealing with new business enquiries, following up enquiries and accurate record keeping.
