Our client based in North Essex is looking for a Part-time Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have similar Accounts and Credit Control experience and be a strong team player with excellent communication and people skills. If this sounds like you, please read on

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
• Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.

£15.00ph

North Essex

In return for your hard work, our client is offering a salary of £15.00ph and a great benefits package and on-site car parking.

The working hours for this role are 8.30am – 5.00pm, however this can be flexible.

The role is to start mid-March and is to work on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. This role will start with 2 days per week, however there is a potential to increase this in the future.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Credit control activities, including professionally chasing overdue accounts.
• Assisting with sales ledger management, raising invoices and allocating payments.
• Managing the accounts mailboxes, ensuring all incoming emails are monitored, prioritised and actioned promptly.
• Setting up bank payments.
• Matching purchase orders to delivery notes and fuel receipts to invoices.
• Processing credit notes / bulk processing.
• Checking drivers’ corporate card statements / Checking Barclaycard’s.
• Checking for missing invoices.
• Managing the petty cash.
• Sending out statements.
• Assisting with general administrative support to the Finance team as required.
• Using MS Office, Sage 50 and paperless systems.
