Our client, a long-established business based in Basildon is looking for a Logistics Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will have previous experience in a customer focussed shipping / freight forwarding role with knowledge of far east imports.
• Previous experience within shipping / freight forwarding and far east import knowledge
• Good administration, customer service and Ms Office skills
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• To be a strong team player
• A good eye for detail and accuracy
• To be punctual and reliable with a good work ethic
£26,000 - £27,000pa
Basildon, Essex
A salary of circa 26,000pa, on-site car parking and 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
• Arranging transport pallet / courier distribution using relevant software.
• Liaising with the warehouse to ensure picking and packing is completed in a timely fashion.
• Managing multiple accounts.
• Invoicing clients and managing purchase invoices.
• Providing administrative cover for the deep-sea import department.
• Processing client orders.
• Carrying out stock control.
• Using Ms Office and in-house systems.
