Our client based in Basildon is looking for a hardworking, “hands-on” Warehouse Supervisor / FLT Driver to take ownership of their daily warehouse operations. This is a busy “hands on” role requiring someone who is equally comfortable operating forklifts and managing stock movements whilst supervising a small team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong Warehouse leadership skills with a reliable, self-motivated, flexible, hardworking, “hands-on” approach to daily tasks.
• Strong communication / customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Current Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence. Reach Truck Licence is desirable.
• Excellent organisational / prioritisation skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
£32,000pa
Basildon, Essex
In return for your hard work, our client is offering a salary of £32,000 - £35,000pa DOE, On-site car parking and more.
The working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, however a level of flexibility is required when the workload dictates.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications
• Looking after all Warehouse and Logistics Operations, leading and supervising a small warehouse team whilst overseeing all goods-in, storage and dispatch activities.
• Managing in-bound pallet deliveries, ensuring stock is accurately received / recorded.
• Maintaining computerised stock control and warehouse administration systems, ensuring sufficient stock is available to support the packing lines and production.
• Co-ordinating pallet movements throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Ensuring all finished goods are wrapped, prepared and ready for collection.
• Inspecting and approving the quality / quantity of goods being dispatched.
• Setting priorities and allocating workloads to achieve operational targets.
• Supporting, motivating and developing team members whilst promoting a positive and productive working environment and ensuring all warehouse procedures are followed.
• Liaising closely with suppliers regarding stock requirements and deliveries.
• Working collaboratively with the Floor Manager and Operations.
• Ensuring efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
• Ensuring all daily house-keeping tasks are completed to the required standard and promoting a safe working environment at all times.
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting any maintenance concerns and ensuring compliance with company health and safety procedures.
• Safely operating the Counterbalance and Reach Truck forklifts daily.
• Loading, unloading and moving stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.
